Dr. Anderson graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed a family practice internship at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana. He did his psychiatric training at University of California at Los Angeles, which included diverse areas from Human Sexuality to an ECT Practicum.
He has been a Program Director of inpatient services, Medical Director of inpatient and outpatient substance abuse programs, and has run a cognitive therapy inpatient group as part of a Mood Disorder Program. He was Chief of the Psychiatry Department at Providence Hospital in Oakland, California, among other things.
He has had a private practice in McLean, Virginia since 1999. His interest in physical medicine and psychiatry led to an interest in neurofeedback. This interest eventually led to his involvement with EEG testing, which he has done since 2005.
Dr. Anderson is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
